Recktronic Devices And Systems

Providing remotely abled Aids to Navigation, DGPS ,VTMS, AIS , RIS solutions among others, RDS has been able to add value and safety in day to day operations of the managers and owners of navigation infrastructure across the country.

Having technological collaborations with the best in the industry for products and solutions allows RDS to bring the best in class global solutions.

RDS has been leveraging its real time monitoring, control and surveillance capabilities in the Aids to Navigation,

Specifically for:-
  • AIS
  • A to N Monitoring
  • Beacons
  • RIS
  • VTMS
  • Power Supply Systems

RDS implemented Automatic Identification System (AIS) are used on ships and by vessel traffic services (VTS) for identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging data with other nearby ships, AIS base stations, and satellites.

A marine traffic coordinator using AIS and radar can effectively manage vessel traffic. An AIS-equipped system on board a ship presents the bearing and distance of nearby vessels in a radar-like display format.

Information provided by AIS equipment, such as unique identification, position, course, and speed, can be displayed on a screen or an ECDIS. AIS is intended to assist a vessel’s watchstanding officers and allow maritime authorities to track and monitor vessel movements. AIS integrates a standardizedVHF transceiver with a positioning system such as a GPS or LORAN-C receiver, with other electronic navigation sensors, such as a gyrocompass or rate of turn indicator.

AtoN Monitoring

AtoN Monitoring

RDS has implemented AtoN remote monitoring systems that address the needs of Lighthouse Authorities for monitoring their aids to navigation:
RDS Remote Monitoring Systems can monitor:

  • Power Supply inputs
  • Load Currents & Voltages (Multiple Loads)
  • Lens Rotation Speed
  • Fault Conditions
  • Data Integrity
  • Site Security

Remote monitoring systems designed by rds can also be customized to monitor a variety of other parameters. data can be delivered via satellite and mobile networks to customers anywhere in the world over a web interface.

RDS provides DGPS Monitoring System to continuously monitor the quality of the position accuracy of the Tracking & Tracing System and generate alarms in case of exceeding of accuracy limits. The DGPS may be used in isolation or in conjunction with various other systems

Complete RIS solutions consisting of several sub-systems and components enabling interfaces for governmental as well as for logistics users

  1. Tracking & Tracing (T&T) System: The Tracking & Tracing System provides real time traffic data by means of the Automatic Identification System (AIS). In addition, other information may be broadcast via AIS, such as DGPS corrections, virtual Aids-to-Navigation, water gauges.
  2. DGPS Monitoring System: The DGPS Monitoring System continuously monitors the quality of the position accuracy of the Tracking & Tracing System and generates alarms in case of exceeding of accuracy limits. It is highly linked to the Tracking & Tracing System because it uses the AIS Base Station to broadcast the corrections to the users.
  1. Electronic Reporting (ERI) System: The ERI System collects and distributes cargo and passenger lists and voyage reports from vessels and provides them to the responsible authorities in electronic format.
  2. Notices to Skippers (NtS) System: The NtS System provides actual information on the nautical conditions of the fairway which are fed into the system by the responsible authority.
  3. Hull-Database System: The Hull Database contains all information about hulls (vessels) which is relevant for RIS purposes. It receives the hull information via interfaces from external sources
  4. ENC Production and Distribution System: The ENC Production and Distribution System allows the RIS Provider to create, maintain and distribute electronic navigational charts according to the Inland ECDIS standard.

Complete VTMS solutions consisting of several sub systems and components enabling interfaces for governmental and logistics users The system generally comprise of the following subsystems

  1. Radar equipments. (S and/or X Band)
  2. Tracking System
  3. VTMS Computer System
  4. AIS System
  5. VHF System
  6. CCTV system
  7. Voice recording and replay system
  8. Communication Link (Microwave Link)
  9. Meteorological sensors
  10. Electrical Power System (including UPS and Generators)
Power Supply Systems

Power Supply Systems

Remote area equipment availability is dependent on highly reliable power supplies.

RDS has extensive experience in the provision of mains, solar and remote power supplies to navigational aids in remote areas.

RDS can accurately determine the best range of power supply options and correct system configuration to ensure that the power system solution will meet the client’s service delivery specification and achieve optimum performance
